All in a weeks work

Here's what i got up to last week.

A dress for Miss Natalie my little niece.

Curried yabbies for the boys (oh & where a great hit).

Some more dresses .

Greek Macaroni Pistachio yummy .

Jelly for my little man bayley he made it himself with a little of his mummy help.

Moving Mr nearly 6 in his own room with his new bunk bed and desk to do his homework.

Got straight to work too lol.

More dresses.

Oh and this was for me yummy bruschetta.

Shirred dress

I never thought in a million years that i could make clothing.

So last Saturday i jumped at the chance and headed to a sewing class with ABBY at the CQS to make a shirred dress.

I had so much fun and am very proud of the end product see for yourself.

I used a ballerina print fabric too cute right. 

Now all i need is a little girl to fit into it maybe in a couple of years i will have one he he :) .

Sip and sew Weekend

I made these delicious bite size cheese an spinach pies for our ladies (an one baby lol) Sip and Sew weekend out at my uncle and aunties farm.

 With yummy layers of filo pastry fetta, ricotta and spinach an a little mint these flavors where bursting in our mouth yummo.

My muffin tray idea was a success they came out nice and easy.

We also had homemade meat balls in a tomato and basil sauce and some yummy lettuce cups filled with  salad top with a  creamy balsamic dressing.

We also set some yabby traps in the dam

the little man had a ball.

AND

I made some more of these

What a great weekend it was cant wait to do it again.

and what a great job i did for a first time.

ROAD TRIP

Where all excited today Rob I and the boys are road tripping it to Sydney to see the family

and some friends. We will also  be seeing

MR ALAN JACKSON

on Monday night at the acer arena.

Not a country fan myself but will support Robert with his favorite music lol.

NEW OBSESSION

Last weekend i headed down to the local QUILT SHOP.

To learn how to make Ruffle bums / Nappie covers.

My SIL was the class teacher.

And what a great job she did

i had a ball it was such a great turn out. 

I just love learning new thing.

I just made Nappie covers with out the ruffle for boy took me no time at all.

And MY GOD  just cant stop making them.

so here some pics of my new found obsession.

QUICHEs

I whipped up these yummy little QUICHES the other day

And the boys just loved them.

I chucked in a bit of ham onion capsicum and cheese with the eggs and milk mixed it up.

I lined the muffin tray with pastry and filled them nearly to the top then cooked for 10 min was quick and simple.

A whole lot of goodness here

Here's some of the things Ive been doing in the last 2 weeks.

First off.

Tomato sauce.

 A friend of mine let me borrow a cookery book by Edmond's that is where i found a tomato sauce recipes that was my inspiration.

But i used THIS ONE god knows Y has it took an extra 3 hrs to make LOL well worth it though

its awesome for a first try at making tomato sauce.

 Second this one was for the FIL (pop)

Lemon meringue pie One of his fav's.

 This is one of those that i make off the top of my head no measuring just how much i think of everything and it all was turns out perfect.

 Yummy

And one for the boys some vanilla cup cakes they where gone by the end of the day lol

Oh now this one was for me feta and spinach pie

another one of my throw together 

 

 Just perfect with a yummy garden salad on a hot summer day

Favorite Veg

You know when i was little i HATED beans.

I don't blame the kids for not liking them

as i said i hated them.

But funny enough they are now one of my Favorite veg's.

I fried these with some button mushrooms a little butter and some chives + salt and pepper to taste.

 I served my veg with some homemade honey and mustard chicken.

The sauce is so simple i added wholegrain mustard honey and cream to my fried chicken and waited till it thickened up i added a teaspoon of corn flower as well so simple.

YUMMO.

To Die For

OMG this is the feta i marinated back

On this plate i have a bit of chilli feta thyme and garlic feta and basil feta.

And i tell you what it was to die for it each one was full of flavor.

I left it to marinated for 2 weeks.

I made a couple of extra jars of pesto with the little feta i had left

i was going to keep plain but couldn't help myself.

So that all i have left is my pesto feta : (

Time for another trip to Sydney but is a bit sad we wont be taking our fridge down just a little eski

so i cant buy to much : (

Déjà vu

This is Bayley when he was 9 months old

 Pop thought he would let him have a tub of ice-cream hmm

This is Bayley a week ago now  3yr 6months

 Daddy was a bit surprised to find him sitting at the bench with the tub of ice-cream

At least he is using the spoon this time :)

safe to say this little boy LOVES ice-cream lol

Safari raggy

Well i have made nearly every nephew an nieces a raggy cot size quilt or lay blanket raggy. 

There are still some in the making but i always take forever to finish them off lol.

This little princess had to wait for 5 months for THIS birth present naughty auntie opps.

But the newest addition who is not so new only had a 4 month wait to get this one.

 Getting quicker aren't i lol.

 So i added these witch i got off a safari book panel.

Giraffe.

 Elephant.

The end product i added some soft blue chenille in there cause its a bit of an obsession
